وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ سِبْطًا مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ هَلَكَ لَا يُدْرَى أَيْنَ مَهْلَكُهُ ، وَأَنَا أَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ هَذِهِ الضِّبَابَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ تَرْجَمَةً فَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ حَسَنُ الْإِسْنَادِ ، أَوْ مُتَّصِلٌ عَلَى رَأْيِ الْإِمَامِ أَحْمَدَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ تَرْجَمَةً فَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ حَسَنُ الْإِسْنَادِ ، أَوْ مُتَّصِلٌ عَلَى رَأْيِ الْإِمَامِ أَحْمَدَ .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A group of the Children of Israel perished, and it is not known where they perished. I fear that they may be these lizards."
Ahmad recorded it. He mentioned regarding Abd al-Rahman bin Ghanm, in his biographical account, that this narration is mursal (missing the Companion link) and hasan (good) in its chain, while according to the view of Imam Ahmad this narration is muttasil (connected).
