Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5824

Khalid bin Khallad bin al-Sa'ib reports from his father, from his grandfather, who narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever frightens the people of Madinah, Allah Almighty will make him afraid on the Day of Resurrection, curse him and be angry with him, and will accept no obligatory or voluntary worship from that person."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Ubaydah, who is da'if (weak).
