وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ غِلْمَانًا قَدْ أَلْجَئُوا ثَعْلَبًا إِلَى زَاوِيَةٍ فَطَرَدَهُمْ ، وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ : فِي حَرَمِ اللَّهِ يُفْعَلُ هَذَا ؟ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ حِمَاسٍ ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

It is reported about Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he found some boys who had forced a fox into a corner, so he drove them away. The narrator says: He also said: "Is this being done in the sanctuary of Allah?"
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Himas; I have not found anyone who gives his biography, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
