Ibrahim bin Abd al-Rahman bin Awf narrates: I hunted a bird at al-Qunbulah, which is a place in Madinah. My father, Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him), came up to me and said: "O my son, where did you catch it?" I replied: "From al-Qunbulah," which is a place in Madinah. He took hold of my ear and twisted it, then set the bird free, and said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made hunting unlawful between its two edges (lava tracts)."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Hasan bin Zabalah, who is matruk (abandoned).
