Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5807

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The area between Kada' and Uhud is a sanctuary, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared a sanctuary. I will not cut down any of its trees, and I will not kill any of its birds.
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, except that he (al-Tabarani) reported these words: "The area between Ayr (mountain) and Uhud (mountain) is a sanctuary"; and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
