Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5689

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man saying: "Here I am (labbayk) on behalf of Shubrumah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Have you performed Hajj for yourself?" He replied: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform Hajj for yourself, then perform Hajj on behalf of Shubrumah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Thumamah bin Ubaydah, who is da'if (weak).
