Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5228

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A gift was sent to Sayyidah Aishah and Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with them both) while they were fasting, and they ate from it. They mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Both of you make up a day in its place, and do not do it again."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi Salamah al-Makki, and he was declared weak on account of this hadith.
