Book of Fasting
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يُصْبِحُ صَائِمًا ثُمَّ يُفْطِرُ .

Majma al-Zawaid 5227 — One who begins the day fasting and then breaks
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : أَصْبَحَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَحَفْصَةُ صَائِمَتَيْنِ ، فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُمَا طَعَامٌ فَأَفْطَرَتَا ، فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا - أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ حَفْصَةَ - قَالَ : " اقْضِيَا يَوْمًا مَكَانَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ; ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَئِمَّةُ ، وَقَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : شَيْخٌ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ; ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَئِمَّةُ ، وَقَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : شَيْخٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyidah Aishah and Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with them both) began the morning fasting. Some food was sent to them as a gift, and they broke their fast. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came in, and one of them (I think he said Hafsah) asked him (about it). He said: "Both of you make up a day in its place."
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it. Its chain contains Hammad bin al-Walid, whom the Imams graded da'if (weak), and Abu Hatim said: He is a shaykh.
