Majma al-Zawaid 5161 — Fasting in Sha'ban

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast three days of every month. Sometimes he would postpone them until the fasts of the whole year accumulated for him, and sometimes he would postpone them until he kept them in Sha'ban.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Layla, about whom criticism has been made.
