وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ لِيَوْمٍ فَضْلٌ عَلَى يَوْمٍ فِي الصِّيَامِ إِلَّا شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَيَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In fasting, no day has preference over another day, except that the month of Ramadan and the day of Ashura are different."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
