وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَتَوَخَّى فَضْلَ صَوْمِ يَوْمٍ عَلَى يَوْمٍ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ إِلَّا عَاشُورَاءَ .
قُلْتُ : لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ الْعَلَّافُ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ تَرْجَمَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: After Ramadan, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give the fast of any day preference over another day, except that Ashura was different. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith other than this one is reported in the Sahih from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin Bakr al-Allaf; I have not found anyone who gives his biography. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
