وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ، وَكَانَ هِنْدُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ ، وَأَخُوهُ الَّذِي بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ قَوْمَهُ بِصِيَامِ عَاشُورَاءَ ، وَهُوَ أَسْمَاءُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ ، فَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ فَقَالَ : " مُرْ قَوْمَكَ بِصِيَامِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ " . قَالَ : أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَجَدْتَهُمْ قَدْ طَعِمُوا ؟ قَالَ : " فَلْيُتِمُّوا آخِرَ يَوْمِهِمْ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ هَكَذَا شَبَّهَ الْمُرْسَلِ ، وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ هَكَذَا شَبَّهَ الْمُرْسَلِ ، وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Yahya bin Hind bin Harithah narrates: Sayyiduna Hind (may Allah be pleased with him) had the honour of taking part in the expedition of Hudaybiyah, and his brother is the one whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent to command his people to fast on the day of Ashura; his name is Sayyiduna Asma' bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him). So Yahya bin Hind narrated this to me from Sayyiduna Asma' bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me and said: "Command your people to fast on this day!" He said: "What is your view about this: if I find that they have already eaten?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then they should complete (the fast) until the last part of the day (that is, they should not eat or drink anything after that)."
Ahmad recorded it, and he recorded it in this way as a mursal report. His son recorded it from Yahya bin Hind bin Harithah from his father, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
