وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَرِّبِي إِلَيْنَا الْغَدَاءَ الْمُبَارَكَ " . - يَعْنِي : السَّحُورَ ، وَرُبَّمَا لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلَّا تَمْرَتَيْنِ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring the blessed breakfast to us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the pre-dawn meal (suhur), even though sometimes it consisted of only two dates.
