وَعَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ ، وَأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَحَّرُوا فِي آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ " . وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : " هُوَ الْغَدَاءُ الْمُبَارَكُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جُبَارَةُ بْنُ مُغَلِّسٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take the pre-dawn meal (suhur) in the last part of the night (that is, shortly before true dawn)." (The narrator says:) He used to say: "It is the blessed breakfast."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Jubarah bin Mughallis, who is da'if (weak).
