بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي السَّحُورِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " السَّحُورُ أَكْلُهُ بَرَكَةٌ فَلَا تَدَعُوهُ ، وَلَوْ أَنْ يَجْرَعَ أَحَدُكُمْ جَرْعَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الْمُتَسَحِّرِينَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو رِفَاعَةَ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ وَثَّقَهُ وَلَا جَرَّحَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو رِفَاعَةَ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ وَثَّقَهُ وَلَا جَرَّحَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eating the pre-dawn meal (suhur) is a blessing, so do not abandon it, even if one of you only takes a sip of water. Indeed, Allah Almighty and His angels send mercy upon those who take the pre-dawn meal."
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Abu Rifa'ah; I have not found anyone who declared him trustworthy or criticised him. The rest of the narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
