وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ تَطَوُّعًا أَنْ يَجْعَلُهَا عَنْ أَبَوَيْهِ فَيَكُونُ لَهُمَا أَجْرُهَا وَلَا يَنْتَقِصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ الضَّبِّيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person gives a voluntary charity, he should give it on behalf of his parents; in this way his parents will receive its reward, and nothing will be reduced from this person's reward either."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Kharijah bin Mus'ab al-Dabbi, and he is da'if (weak).
