Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your meeting your brother with a cheerful face is recorded for you as a charity; your pouring water from your bucket into your brother's bucket is recorded for you as a charity; your removing something harmful from the road is recorded for you as a charity; your enjoining good is a charity; your forbidding evil is a charity; and your guiding someone who has lost his way is recorded for you as a charity."
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Abi Ata', and he is majhul (unknown).
