Sayyiduna Abu Rayhanah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Iblis places his throne upon the sea and makes a show of resembling Allah Almighty, whereas before Allah Almighty Himself there are many veils. Iblis sends out his troops and says: Who will take care of such-and-such a human being? Two of his minions stand up, and he says: I give you both a respite of one year; if you lead him astray, I will relieve you of toil, otherwise I will crucify you both." The narrator relates: Someone said to Sayyiduna Abu Rayhanah (may Allah be pleased with him): Then many devils must have been crucified because of you.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Yahya bin Talhah al-Yarbu'i, whom al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the book al-Thiqat.
