وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبْعَثُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ [ مِنْ بَنِي بَيَاضَةَ ] يُقَالُ لَهُ فَرْوَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، فَيَخْرُصُ تَمْرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ حَرَامُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to send a man from the Ansar, from Banu Bayadah, whose name was Farwah bin Amr, and he would estimate (the yield of) the dates of the people of Madinah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Haram bin Uthman, and he is matruk (abandoned).
