Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4363

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever has three things is free of miserliness: whoever pays the zakah of his wealth willingly, shows hospitality to the guest, and gives (to someone) in times of hardship."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. Its chain contains a narrator, Zakariyya bin Yahya al-Waqqar, who is da'if (weak).
