عَنْ أَنَسٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ثَلَاثٌ لَا يَزَلْنَ فِي أُمَّتِي حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ : النِّيَاحَةُ ، وَالْمُفَاخَرَةُ فِي الْأَنْسَابِ ، وَالْأَنْوَاءُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things will remain in my ummah continuously until the Hour is established: wailing over the dead, boasting about lineage, and relying on the stars."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
