بَابُ مَا جَاءَ أَنَّ الصِّدْقَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ .

وَعَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يُطْبَعُ الْمُؤْمِنُ عَلَى كُلِّ خُلَّةٍ غَيْرِ الْخِيَانَةِ وَالْكَذِبِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A believer may have every trait, except treachery and lying (that is, treachery and lying can never be in him)."
