Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3221

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Women have no share in going out, except when one is compelled, meaning a woman who has no servant; but the matter is different for the two Eids, Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. And on the road they (women) have a right only to its edges."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Sawwar bin Mus'ab, who is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith).
