عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : لَا نَعْلَمُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْبَزَّارِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Every Friday, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray for forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, and the Muslim men and Muslim women.
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it. Imam al-Bazzar says: To our knowledge, it is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only with this chain. The chain of Imam al-Bazzar contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Khalid al-Samti, who is da'if (weak).
