عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ : لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّذِينَ يُشَقِّقُونَ الْخُطَبَ تَشْقِيقَ الشَّعْرِ رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ وَالْغَالِبُ عَلَيْهِ الضَّعْفُ
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed those who split their sermons into fine points the way hair is split.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is predominantly weak.
