بَابٌ فِيمَنِ اقْتَصَرَ عَلَى الْوُضُوءِ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ ، وَمَنِ اغْتَسَلَ فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ أَبُو حُرَّةَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ أَبُو حُرَّةَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution (wudu) on Friday, that is sufficient and good; and whoever takes a ritual bath (ghusl), the ritual bath is more virtuous."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu Hurrah al-Raqashi, whom Imam Abu Dawud declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Yahya bin Ma'in declared da'if (weak).
