بَابٌ فِيمَنِ اقْتَصَرَ عَلَى الْوُضُوءِ .

وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ وَمَنِ اغْتَسَلَ فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَفِيهِ قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ وَضَعَّفَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever performs ablution (wudu) on Friday, that is sufficient and good; and whoever takes a ritual bath (ghusl), the ritual bath is more virtuous."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Shu'bah and al-Thawri declared thiqah (trustworthy), while a group declared him da'if (weak).
