عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ وَمَنِ اغْتَسَلَ ، فَالْغُسْلُ أَفْضَلُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَفِيهِ يَزِيدٌ الرَّقَاشِيُّ وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever only performs ablution (wudu) on Friday, that is sufficient and good; but whoever takes a ritual bath (ghusl), the ritual bath is more virtuous."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid al-Raqashi, about whom there has been criticism.
