Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3008

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the day of Friday and the night of Friday are twenty-four hours, and in every one of those hours Allah Almighty frees six hundred people from Hell." The narrator says: We left our teacher and came to al-Hasan al-Basri, and we related to him the hadith narrated by Thabit. He said: I heard it, and he added these words to it: "All of them will be people for whom Hell had become due."
Abu Ya'la recorded it as a narration of Abd al-Samad bin Abi Khidash from Umm Awwam al-Basri, and I did not find anyone who has given an account of either of them.
