Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) report this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "In the day of Friday there is an hour in which, whatever good a Muslim servant asks of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty will grant him that good, and that hour is after Asr."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Salamah al-Ansari. Al-Dhahabi says: Abbas narrated from him, and both of these narrators are not known. (Al-Haythami says:) I say: As for the narrator named Abbas, he is Abbas bin Abd al-Rahman bin Mina', from whom Ibn Jurayj narrated, just as he narrated from him in the Musnad, and a group also narrated from him. Ibn Majah recorded a narration from this narrator, and Abu Dawud recorded from him in al-Marasil. Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and no one declared him da'if (weak). And Allah knows best.
