Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3010

Abu Salamah narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) mention this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: "In the day of Friday there is an hour in which, whatever thing a servant asks of Allah Almighty while he is praying, Allah Almighty grants him that thing." The narrator says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam mentioned from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Yes! It is the last hour (of the day of Friday). I said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the servant is praying at that time, yet in that last hour prayer is not performed. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam said: Have you not heard (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) has it not reached you, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever waits for the prayer is counted as being in prayer." (Al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith reported from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) is mentioned in the Sahih, and the hadith reported from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam is also mentioned in the Sahih, but that narration is mawquf (stopping at the Companion).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
