وَعَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ فِيهِ أَبُوهُ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبُو أُسَيْدٍ وَأَبُو حُمَيْدٍ وَأَنَّهُمْ تَذَاكَرُوا صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَذَكَرُوا أَنَّهُ سَلَّمَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ .
قُلْتُ : حَدِيثُ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ فِي الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
قُلْتُ : حَدِيثُ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ فِي الصَّحِيحِ .

Abbas bin Sahl bin Sa'd narrates that he was present in a gathering in which his father was present, as were Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abu Usayd and Sayyiduna Abu Humayd. They discussed the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they also mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to give the salam to the right and to the left. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd is mentioned in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
