Sayyiduna Abu Rimthah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he prayed; he gave the salam to the right and gave the salam to the left, until we saw the brightness of his cheek.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Minhal bin Khalifah, whom Ibn Ma'in, Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak), while Abu Hatim declared him thiqah (trustworthy). Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) says: He is salih (acceptable), but there is room for consideration regarding him.
