وَعَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَا وَائِلَ بْنَ حُجْرٍ إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ فَاجْعَلْ يَدَيْكَ حِذَاءَ أُذُنَيْكَ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ تَجْعَلُ يَدَيْهَا حِذَاءَ ثَدْيَيْهَا " .
قُلْتُ : لَهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ وَغَيْرِهِ فِي رَفْعِ الْيَدَيْنِ غَيْرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ فِي مَنَاقِبِ وَائِلٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ حُجْرٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهَا أُمِّ يَحْيَى بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : لَهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ وَغَيْرِهِ فِي رَفْعِ الْيَدَيْنِ غَيْرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ فِي مَنَاقِبِ وَائِلٍ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ حُجْرٍ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهَا أُمِّ يَحْيَى بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Wa'il bin Hujr, when you pray, keep your hands level with your ears, and a woman will raise her hands level with her chest." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith about raising the hands other than this one is reported from this Companion in the Sahih and other books.
Al-Tabarani recorded it within a long hadith about the virtues of Sayyiduna Wa'il (may Allah be pleased with him), reported through Maymunah bint Hujr, who narrated it from her paternal aunt Umm Yahya bint Abd al-Jabbar. I do not know this woman. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
