Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2593

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The hands are to be raised in only seven places: at the beginning of the prayer, when a person enters al-Masjid al-Haram." After this the narrator mentioned the complete hadith; this hadith will come later in full in the chapter on Hajj, if Allah wills.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Layla, who is da'if (weak) because of his poor memory, though he has also been declared thiqah (trustworthy).
