Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2595

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) report this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The hands are to be raised in seven places: at the beginning of the prayer, on facing the House of Allah, on Safa and Marwah, at the two standing places, and at the Black Stone." Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Abi Layla, who has a poor memory.
