بَابٌ مِنْهُ فِي تَعْدِيلِ الصُّفُوفِ وَصُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ .

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ أَوَّلُهَا وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا، وَشَرُّ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ أَوَّلُهَا وَخَيْرُهَا آخِرُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best row of the men is the first one and the least good is the last one, and the least good row of the women is the first one and the best is the last one."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
