بَابٌ مِنْهُ فِي تَعْدِيلِ الصُّفُوفِ وَصُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ - يَعْنِي الْخُدْرِيَّ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ الْمُقَدَّمُ وَشَرُّهَا الْمُؤَخَّرُ ، وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ الْمُؤَخَّرُ وَشَرُّهَا الْمُقَدَّمُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ شَرِيكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِمُ ابْنُ عَقِيلٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ شَرِيكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِمُ ابْنُ عَقِيلٍ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best row of the men is the front one and the least good is the last one, and the best row of the women is the last one and the least good row is the front one."
Ahmad recorded it through the narration of Sharik from Ibn Aqil, and Abu Ya'la recorded it; his narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), and Ibn Aqil is not among them.
