وَعَنْ بِلَالٍ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُؤْذِنُهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَوَجَدَهُ يَتَسَحَّرُ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَيْتِهِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا دَاوُدَ قَالَ : لَمْ يَسْمَعْ شَدَّادٌ مَوْلَى عِيَاضٍ مِنْ بِلَالٍ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا دَاوُدَ قَالَ : لَمْ يَسْمَعْ شَدَّادٌ مَوْلَى عِيَاضٍ مِنْ بِلَالٍ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .
It is reported about Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to call him to the prayer, and he found the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taking the pre-dawn meal (suhur) at his private place of prayer in his house.
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that Abu Dawud stated that Shaddad did not hear from Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him). And Allah knows best.
