عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ : أَكَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَوْمًا شِوَاءً وَنَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ، فَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمْ نَزِدْ عَلَى أَنَّ مَسْحَنَا بِالْحَصْبَاءِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Once we ate roasted food with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while we were in the mosque. Then the prayer was called, and all we did was wipe our hands with the pebbles.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism.
