وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ ، قَالَ : " الصَّبْرُ وَالسَّمَاحَةُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about faith, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Patience and leniency (or generosity)."
