بَابٌ الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ .

وَعَنْ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ وَاهْدِ الْأَئِمَّةَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جَنَاحٌ مَوْلَى الْوَلِيدِ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جَنَاحٌ مَوْلَى الْوَلِيدِ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ .
Sayyiduna Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The imam is a guarantor and the mu'adhdhin is a trustee. O Allah, forgive the mu'adhdhins and guide the imams."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Janah, the freed slave of al-Walid. Al-Azdi declared him da'if (weak), and Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned him in al-Thiqat.
