Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and some of his Companions passed by, and there was a child on the road. When his mother saw the people coming, she feared that the child might be trampled underfoot. She came running, saying: "My child, my child!" and she ran up and took hold of the child. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, this woman would never throw her child into the fire!" The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards them and said: "Allah Almighty too will not throw His beloved servants into the Fire."
Ahmad recorded it, al-Bazzar recorded something similar, and Abu Ya'la recorded it; their narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
