عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ شُفْعَةَ ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - " يَقُولُ لِلْوِلْدَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ ، فَيَقُولُونَ : يَا رَبَّنَا ، يَدْخُلُ آبَاؤُنَا وَأُمَّهَاتُنَا [ قَالَ : فَيَأْتُونَ ] ؟ قَالَ : فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - : مَا لِي أَرَاهُمْ مُحْبَنْطِئِينَ ، ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ " . قَالَ : " فَيَقُولُونَ : يَا رَبِّ ، آبَاؤُنَا [ وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا ] ؟ ! قَالَ : فَيَقُولُ : ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ . قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَتْ أَحَادِيثُ فِي الْأَوْلَادِ وَوَفَاتِهِمْ ، وَفِيمَنِ احْتَسَبَهُمْ فِي كِتَابِ الْجَنَائِزِ ، وَتَرْبِيَةِ الْأَوْلَادِ وَالْأَيْتَامِ فِي كِتَابِ الْبِرِّ وَالصِّلَةِ .
Shurahbil bin Shuf'ah narrates from one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection it will be said to the children: 'Enter Paradise!' They will say: 'O our Lord, (we will not enter Paradise) until our fathers and mothers enter.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then they will come. Allah Almighty will say: 'What is the matter? I see them holding back. (Then He will say to them:) Enter Paradise!' They will say: 'O our Lord, our fathers and our mothers!' The Lord will say: 'Enter Paradise, you and your fathers (and your mothers).'"
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Shurahbil, and he is thiqah (trustworthy). (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths about children, their death and hoping for reward over them have already passed in the Book of Funerals, and those about raising children and orphans have passed in the Book of Righteousness and Maintaining Family Ties.
