وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " ذَنْبٌ لَا يُغْفَرُ ، وَذَنْبٌ لَا يُتْرَكُ ، وَذَنْبٌ يُغْفَرُ . فَأَمَّا الذَّنْبُ الَّذِي لَا يُغْفَرُ فَالشِّرْكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَأَمَّا الذَّنْبُ الَّذِي يُغْفَرُ فَذَنْبُ الْعَبْدِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - وَأَمَّا الذَّنْبُ الَّذِي لَا يُتْرَكُ فَذَنْبُ الْعِبَادِ بَعْضِهِمْ بَعْضًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، تَكَلَّمَ فِيهِ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is a sin which will not be forgiven, a sin which will not be left, and a sin which will be forgiven. As for the sin which will not be forgiven, it is associating partners with Allah Almighty. As for the sin which will be forgiven, it is the servant's sin which concerns the matter between him and Allah Almighty. As for the sin which will not be left, it is the sin that servants commit against one another (by way of wrongdoing and harm)."
Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains Yazid bin Sufyan bin Abdullah bin Rawahah, who is da'if (weak); Ibn Hibban criticised him. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
