Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18379

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wrongdoing is of three kinds: a wrongdoing which Allah Almighty will not forgive, a wrongdoing which He will forgive, and a wrongdoing which Allah Almighty will not leave. As for the wrongdoing which Allah Almighty will not forgive, it is shirk; Allah Almighty has said: 'Indeed, shirk is a great wrongdoing.' As for the wrongdoing which Allah Almighty will forgive, it is the wrong which servants have done to themselves in matters between them and their Lord. As for the wrongdoing which Allah Almighty will not leave, it is the wrong servants do to one another (Allah Almighty will not leave it) until He has the servants given retribution from one another."
Al-Bazzar recorded this narration from his teacher Ahmad bin Malik al-Qushayri, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators of this narration have been declared trustworthy, although there is weakness in them.
