اُردوEn
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّمَا كَانَ طَعَامُنَا مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - التَّمْرَ وَالْمَاءَ ، وَاللَّهِ ، مَا كُنَّا نَرَى سَمْرَاءَكُمْ هَذِهِ ، وَلَا نَدْرِي مَا هِيَ ؟ وَإِنَّمَا كَانَ لِبَاسُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - النِّمَارَ ، يَعْنِي : بُرُدَ الْأَعْرَابِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَرَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Our food with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was dates and water. By Allah! We had never even seen this wheat of yours; we did not even know what it was. Our clothing with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was cloaks. The narrator says: That is, the kind of clothing the Bedouins wear.
