Sayyiduna Jundab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We travelled with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Some people came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah! We were heedless of the prayer and did not offer it until the sun rose." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ablution and offer the prayer." Then he said: "This is not forgetfulness; this is from Satan. When one of you goes to his bed, let him say: 'Bismillah, a'udhu billahi min al-shaytan al-rajim' (In the name of Allah; I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Kabir; its chain mentions that Sahl bin so-and-so al-Fazari narrated it from his father, and he is majhul (unknown).
