Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18103

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When someone sets out to perform Hajj and his money is pure (that is, lawful), then when he places his foot in the stirrup and calls out: 'Labbayk, Allahumma labbayk' (Here I am, O Allah, here I am), a caller from the heaven calls out: 'Your presence is accepted and good fortune is granted to you, for your provision for the journey is lawful, your mount is lawful, and your Hajj is righteous, with no sin in it.' And when a person sets out with unlawful earnings, places his foot in the stirrup and calls out loudly: 'Labbayk' (Here I am), a caller from the heaven says: 'Neither is your presence accepted nor is good fortune granted to you. Your provision for the journey is unlawful, your spending is unlawful, and your Hajj is not righteous.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Dawud al-Yamami, who is da'if (weak).
