Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17895

Sayyiduna al-Irbad bin Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us on the platform of the "Suffah". He had a turban tied, and he said: "If you knew what has been stored up for you, you would not grieve over the things that have been withheld from you. Soon Persia and Rome will be conquered for you."
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
